"UFO" Photos Taken by the IIG

Proponents of the Billy Meier Case like to talk about all of the research that was done into the original photographs taken by Billy Meier. However, it has been revealed that most of the photographs looked at were not the original negatives or slide positives. The photos that were sent out were, most often, duplications or lithographs. This makes the photos useless for examination and research.

Over the years members of the IIG have taken their own "UFO" photographs. Some of these have been on public display and some have been hidden for our own amusement. The IIG will now do something that neither Billy Meier nor any of his supporters will do, offer high-resolution images of our "UFO" photographs to the public free of charge.

The original examination of the Billy Meier photographs stated that Jim Dilettoso determined that the photographs were "real". What Jim Dilettoso, and others, were looking for were signs of multiple exposures or paste-ups of the object in the photo. By not finding any of these items they determined that the photographs were "real photographs". This is true, from a certain point of view. By not finding evidence of multiple exposures that means the photograph was taken using a single exposure. This is all that it means. It does not mean that the object in the photograph is an extra-terrestrial space ship. There is no way to come to that conclusion from looking at a photograph.

The Photo Analysis document located on Michael Horn's website mentions several tests that the Billy Meier photographs were placed through such as High-Pass Filter, Edge Enhancement, and Contour Identification. These tests are now standard filter options on Photoshop. The link below will show you one of the IIG "UFO" photographs run through these filters, as well as some other filters. You will see that the IIG photograph responds in the same way as the Billy Meier photographs. There is no evidence of multiple exposures or paste-ups of the object in the photograph and, most importantly, there is no evidence of the thread that is supporting the object in the IIG photograph.
