Tampaksiring Palace
Tampaksiring palace is a palace that was built after Indonesian independence, which is located in the Village Tampaksiring , Tampaksiring District, Gianyar regency, Bali.Tampaksiring name comes from two words Balinese language , the "look" and "siring" , which means each of the palms and sloping.
The palace stands on the initiative of President Sukarno who wanted the weather was cool retreat away from the bustle of the city, suitable for the President of the Republic of Indonesia and their families as well as for state guests.
The architect was RM Soedarsono and the palace was built in stages. Tampaksiring Palace complex consists of four main buildings namely Wisma Merdeka covering an area of 1,200 m and Pensions Yudhishthira area of 2,000 m and Function Room. Wisma Merdeka and Wisma Yudhishthira is the first building that was built in 1957 . In 1963 all the construction is completed with the establishment of the State House and Wisma Bima.
